The same ad hominem attacks were going on. The same bombastic, over the topic child-like over reactions to offended sensibilities. The same shitty attitudes and fragile egos. The same 2-3 toxic ass dickheads blowing every damn thread up that has ideas they have unilaterally decided may not be discussed.
The only reason it felt “better” to some here was because they got their little echo chamber since the rig-talk rapture.
Some rig-talk socialist party members have used the logic “no one forced you to click”, “no one forced you to respond”. The same rationale can apply to you too!! If people are so concerned about the drama dragging this place down, EVERYONE could simply choose to avoid topics that they don’t like or agree with. But the smug and ego is too strong here, so I am sure the hypocrisy will continue unabated.
And no, the owners won’t shut it down. The drama is what is keeping rig-talk afloat. Ask the mods how much traffic has fallen off since the echo chamber was established. Traffic is a big part of advertising value. If otc dies, I believe that rig-talk dies.
