I have to say that the variety of tones I can get is pretty impressive...even though I'm hamstrung by playing a one trick pony door stop with weird mids and no low end

That's cool, I really dig hot double coils in the bridge and medium output singles in the middle and neck.
I have a few guitars that are lower output and they sound nice, but when I plug in the Wolfgang (which has really high output) it's just great. It pushes the front end of the amp a lot more, there's no need for a pedal to boost it, it sounds better to me than using a pedal to do it.

The Budda really really loves the high output Wolfgang pickups....I think the Budda loves nice sounding high output pickups period.

yeah, you'd probably like it man...I really dig the wolfgang pickups..and now that I think about it, it feels that level of output as far as ease of play goes..sound wise it's different obviously..but it's definitely a hotter pickup...I don't even want to think what the hot version would be like...LOL..me thinks that would be a lot less dynamic..

the QR digs the duncan distortion on first gear as well..really angry...no need for the higher gain third gear with that thing...
