Think I might've finally found my 7 string (Suhr content)...

Damn love the body color and that neck is wild!

I wonder why the wood does not move during the drying process or will it swell during humid conditions? Guess that is why Suhr does what he does and I am mucking around with load ballancing and BGP

Would have looked better on the wife's dining room table though.

That's sick. Is the neck finished or raw?

Beautiful...
It is the satin finish, which to me feels like raw wood - like an oil finished Charvel neck...

Very cool. I don't even know if Suhr offers them raw but I have started to see other makers (Thorn comes to mind) offering the roasted necks with no finish at all. They must really trust that roasting process.

Suhr has posted that the wood is dimensioned after the roasting process. And that he has gone so far as to pour a cup of water on it, and it won't move.

Yes, I am compiling a textbook from all of his forum posts...

The only thing I'm GAS'ing for right now is a Suhr 7 string. I just hope they eventually do one without a Floyd.

Ive come to the conclusion that Im just not a 7 string guy. Im not a fan of the color but if its a Suhr, its got to be a badass guitar..

Matter of fact Steve, Youve owned the only 7 Strings that Ive ever flipped over; That Crazy GMW Tribal Custom and the Ibanez JCustom... IF I was to go 7, it would have been those..

I was of a similar mind, but this particular 7 is really fun to play. I just never dug playing the GMW or the J-Custom that much. The GMW weighed like 40 lbs and I didn't like the way the neck felt. The Ibanez, the neck was too thin and I HATED the floyd that came with it. Nice looking guitars and truthfully both sounded really good, but I never dug playing them. Time will tell, but the Suhr I couldn't put down last night...

Wow! Bet it sounds great through your Vox/Hennig rig. :D
When I crank it through the Vox slaved into the Henning, it is like nothing I've ever heard before....

Wow, gorgeous! Clip please. Congrats on a beautiful guitar.
