Thinking about another project

I found this Lotus SILVERBURST LP husk nearby on Facebook marketplace.

I believe these are 70s/early 80s MIJ?

I haven’t seen it in person yet but it seems like a legit/fun project.

Anyone had any experience with these?

My biggest concern is the truss rod.

I have a black one here, it's a husk but I have almost all the parts and OG pickups....just never rewired it. It played well, the body is some unknown wood/plywood. This one was Korean I believe, in the early/mid 80's

Truthfully.... (I still may lie to you.... )

I'd remove the fretboard, replace the TR with a dual action and put an ebony repop board on their with true block inlay MOP.... Pure Sex

(Would give you great access to inspect the neck set etc as well. )

Had a Lotus as my first Les Paul. I'm not sure it's even worth bothering with it unless you can get it for $25 and you plan on just using it to practice fret work or something.
