Usually not a fan of Ibanez stuff, but I saw this one posted on another forum and it looks great. Apparently it's exclusive to Guitar Center, but I can't find any info about it. Wonder how much they are and if the tops really look that nice in person?

that is a nice looking guitar. it would be pretty sweet if the tops did really look that nice in person. i have an s series ibanex like that. mine is a 520ex, and that zr trem is awesome. they have dials on the back where you turn them to adjust spring tension rather than having to bust out a screwdriver, and they are super smooth as well ... i cant stand the thing bodies on these but couldnt resist how smooth those trem setups were

are all 520 ibby's mahogany? i have a mhogany rg520.
and is that ZR trem really heavy? my RG has the original edge and that guitar is the heaviest guitar i have lol. gets kind of heavy after a few hours of standing. i love it though lol

No, they made a basswood RG520, just the RG520QS(for Quilted Sapele) model is mahogany. All S Series guitars are mahogany, though.

Saw one earlier this week and it does look like that in person. I think it's a photo top. It doens't look like real figuring.

+1. I saw two of them at the GC in Columbus a week or so ago and I thought that it looked fake.

I don't care if the top is fake at all. It looks great to me in that picture I posted and that black one looks really sweet too. Would love to see the orange one in some real pics.

Just read the wiki and I see it's a zebra wood top. I never saw zebra wood before so if that's what it looks like then it looks cool. From a distance it makes you think "flamed maple" but up close you see it's not. They looked great at the store. I didn't get to play one because by the time I got a cord, 2 dick-heads decided to grab them and have band practice through the Bugeras. I hate people sometimes.

Those look sweet. I'd have one if they had been for sale 2 years ago when I bought my Ibanez

Those do look killer. I wish it didn't have that middle pickup though.

I just saw this same guitar a few days at the GC here in Maryland. It caught my eye from across the store. I thought the tops WERE real (not photo). They used this same top on one of there acoustic models a few years ago. I would have thought about purchasing it but they had it on the floor for everyone to pick up an bang on so I didn't even give it a second chance.

just played one of those earlier today at GC. Looked nice and glossy but was probly fake. It was set up poory and played like shit so i didnt have that good of an experience with it haha.

Not a big fan of Zebra wood. Too much for me. I like the grain of Maple much better.

Nah, LOL. I use the one in Towson. I was at the Glen Burnie location a few months ago. Probably the worst GC I have ever been to. They had absolutely nothing. To bad since Glen Burnie is such a joyful clean place to visit :D . I try to get to Bill's music house in Catonsville (went to undergrad at UMBC) for most of my stuff or, if I have a whole day to kill, Chuck Levins in Wheaton.

Man, I played that exact guitar at guitar center about a month ago.. I usually don't care for Ibanez but that guitar sounded and playe great..
