This is cool news but I’m holding out for a super woke KD reboot project called Kink Diamond that’ll play updated versions of the classics:

Yeah who knows what this sounds like...in the King Diamond solo band King wrote probably 85% of the music so my guess is this sounds like way TF overproduced gay euro power metal maybe😂
 
Sounds like Andy got tired of waiting for King to finish the latest album which was supposed to be released BEFORE the 2024 tour but now is still in limbo. He played two new tunes on the last tour when I saw him but then by the end of the tour, wasn't playing Electro Therapy anymore. So I don't blame Andy for putting this band together. I love the lineup. Pete was killer. I actually would like to see an album with King and every former member. He has had some incredible guitar players in that second spot beside Andy. Andy though, fucking legend. Find me one bad mailed in solo. Non existent.

I doubt Andy wouldn't write anything lame. I'm just looking forward to hearing some fresh lead work from Larocque. He's one of my heroes.

I have heard the teaser.. interesting. Sounds like it leans more to the power metal side but ultimately I am reserving all judgement until I hear those dueling guitars! :love:
 
Total King Diamond Vibes but the singing allows them to go in slightly different directions.. This one really does grow on you though. LOVE Pete's vibrato, So good and perfectly compliments Andy. These guys are like salt and pepper. You need both for a great steak.

Only complaint is a usual one.. I hate how compressed drums have gotten. Like they all need to compress the shit out of these already perfect samples and everything sounds boxy. I want to hear those toms and a bit more of that snare. Seems to be a production staple now though so there will be no going back. Samples are great for layering but we are starting to lose the image of the whole drumkit.
 
I like this. Songwriting is very 80’s in a good way. And fun fact, if I grew my hair out I’d be a dead ringer for Pete Blakk now lol

Totally. It could sound dated but that is where the magic is.. unlike a lot of bands that go for these big boring choruses, these guys have classic vocals with movement throughout the tune. Drums really shine throughout. Not just straight double bass, lots of tom work scattered across the song. Mickey's specialty.
