Interesting....I've never heard of that genre....it certainly is babymetal. I wonder if Marty Friedman plays on any of these studio tracks.

nope, no Marty. but the guys who did write and record the music are pretty well known Japanese rock and metal guys who started doing this as a side project for fun. then it blew up...so instead of having a group of guys miming the music live they started playing live. something like that anyway. i forgot who the guys are off the top of my head, i thought i read Gackt was one of them (hes pretty amazing himself) but i dont think he is. might be wrong though.

I find it surprising that every 5 year old kid in Japan is amazing on guitar, yet there is NO ONE well known for anything.
 
language barrier maybe? a lot of japanese artists pretty much just sing in japanese. makes it hard to get known in a country if no one wants to listen to something they cant understand i think. there is a lot of good artists and bands in other countries, and i listen to some here and there. but almost none of them are known here simply because there isnt much of a market for it.
 
One of the most underrated or best guitar solo of all time.
