I love it, but I'd never buy one since it's a neck-thru. I don't trust Ibanez neck-thru guitars. I'd much rather have a bolt-on so I can tweak the action just the way I like it.

Pretty nice for an Ibeenhad...

LOL!!!

It should come with better pickups. Those DiMarzio/IBZ pickups are not that great IMO.

Code001, the guitar being a neckthru has nothing to do with being able to tweak the action.

For that price, it should be a J Custom, good pups and a 7 string.

Um, yes it does. The neck has everything to do with the slope between the nut and the bridge. It can affect tremolo height, pull-up and action.

It does look cool, but meh, i've never played an Ibanez I liked.

In this case it doesn't make a difference. The recessed tremolo doesn't need any neck angle so the difference between a neckthru and bolt-on makes no effect on the bridge height or action.

I see your point, but what happens if you want really low action and the tremolo is already very deep inside the cavity? On a bolt-on, you'd just shim the neck to ensure more of a pull-up.

In that case the guitar is at fault. Without shims the action should be possible to set absurdly low. Whether it buzzes at that height is another thing but it should be possible to have the strings resting on the bridge.

That's what I was getting at. I don't trust Ibanez to build a neck-thru, mass-production guitar. ;)
