This Sounds Good! The Mako Mak4 Cometh...

Hey Guys,

Got my Mako Preamp, still waiting for the VHT 2150 to power it but in the meantime ran it through my H&H V800 into a 2290 into a couple Bogner 2x12's and WTF it sounds amazing.

I promise I will post up clips of this when I get the rig together this coming week. The clarity is amazing and the gain tones are as good as any boutique high gainer.

Wicked versatile, clean is awesome, crunch gets the overdrive sound of my Wizard, Plexi channel sounds similar to the Marsha and the Dorado channel hangs with my Herbert.

Looks like they have done it at a price point that is a no brainer.

On a scale of 1/10 I give it a 9 and thats just because it is 4 spaces and not 2.

Clips please! Hate to say it but as much as I love Anderson guitars I just can't get into the Atom series. If I was going to go the single cut route the Anderson Bulldog is awesome and looks like a traditional Les Paul. Check them out.

Clips please! Hate to say it but as much as I love Anderson guitars I just can't get into the Atom series. If I was going to go the single cut route the Anderson Bulldog is awesome and looks like a traditional Les Paul. Check them out.

I've heard that although the Atoms are ugly that once you play one you understand why people get into them. I'm more than happy just owning a Cobra and Drop Top though.

Does that mean you want some effects added or are you saying just a little and don't throw all kinds of delay and crap on there? I would like to hear some clips completely dry. Wet clips are okay, but I want to hear the amps tone all by itself. Single track even better. I'm dying waiting for mine.

I have heard that too. I love my Drop Top and looking forward to my Classic. I would love a Bulldog someday. I think the Atom is Tom's personal favorite model right now.

Congrats Brad. I played a Dorado head quite sometime ago, when they were all handwired(not that it matters) and it was a bad ass amp. Dark & aggressive with touch responsiveness. Very nice.

Just curious...did you try running it through the Marsha power section? Just curious as to how that would sound (my guess is awesome).
