IME H&K is one of those brands you either love or hate. They tend to have this hi-fi character to them. If you want something with a very precise tone and feel; almost like a tube amp that secretly wants to be solid state, the you'll love them. If you're wanting some touch sensitivity and a little squish, then H&K will likely come off sterile, bland, and a little fizzy to you.

I knew the R&D that went into the '25 Nasameister would break them financially.

I don’t know, I’m not really in a position to defend the Triamp as I really dislike the company behind it. But I own 17 tube amps: ENGL, Bogner, Friedman, various Mesas, Rivera etc etc. The Triamp is not lost in the mix. Not necessarily better, but it’s got its own voice/feel that I can’t get elsewhere.

I also own a Triamp MK3 and I absolutely love the amp. I thoroughly hate the company though, and will never ever buy another product by them.
Oh no. Bad customer service? Luckily, I never had to deal with them when I had mine....

Yup. Got some strange crackling sound coming out of the amp, so contacted them asked for a service manual to help me figure the issue. The amp was brand new, like 3 months old and me the original owner. Basically was told to go pound sand. I did not want to have it sent over to a service center and be without the amp for months. Ended up tracing it down to a faulty resistor in the power tube section, replaced and all is good for 5 years now. That was my second experience with the H&K, the first one being 20 years ago but absolutely identical. So fool me twice… I’m done with them.
