That's a stunning amount of relief. I'd go back to the person that sold it to you and demand the rest of your guitar.

yeah

I knew that the were weight relieved.

I just didnt know how much.

this aint swiss cheese.

it looks like a hollow body!

the bottom pic shows the tremonti.

now, thats a slab of wood!

That's disappointing. They used as little wood as possible...

For what it is worth, my '07 standard is chambered and it kills.

i have no complaints about the sound.

but it does explain why i think that the bottom end sounds a little soft, not as tight or defined.

more like my andersons in terms of comparing my classic verses hollow classic models.

My No.1 is a LP Std DC. .... it is hollow and super loud unplugged, great sustain and just sings. The resonance is between a regular LP and a SG. It does have a little of a 335 flavor.

I have picked up over 30 like it .... only one other one really sounded good. So like all other guitars it is hit and miss. In my ears most of them are miss...no matter who made it or what it is.

my studio is chambered and it resonates like a motherfucker. i had a 1990 classic that ruled as well, and im sure it looked just like this.

I have a custom that is chambered and it kills! I also have a 1980 redone goldtop that is solid, weighs a metric ton, and also kills :D

This used to piss me off. However, I got the chance to play a new chambered Standard against a full weight Traditional and I preferred the Standard.....more
sustainy and lively.

My chambered Studio w/p-90's is also much more resonant than my solid Traditional Pro. So much that Im considering selling my Trad Pro and picking up a chambered Standard or Studio.

If chambered is what is advertised and what you want, then it is interesting. If you thought you were buying solid body, then something like this is quite a clever tool to embarrass Gibson and ask for the rest of your guitar.
