Has anyone played - owned one? I'm mainly interested in the neck and the playability. I've found a good deal for a slightly used snow-white with gold hardware and it looks stunning

I liked the HSH so much I bought a HSS too. I put Friedman HBs in both and I play them most of the time, I've been a Les Paul player forever (still have a few). They play and feel great, love the carmelized neck.

The DK24 2PT with the roasted necks are plagued with tuning issues. Honestly the last 2 2018 and 2019s have been substandard compared to my 2 2016s

Hmmm I might have to reconsider my options then... Thx for the answer.

They are try before you buy guitars.

I ordered one online and it arrived with poking out frets when you would run your hand down the side of the neck (to the point of scratching your palm), sent it back immediately, no idea how it got out of the factory in such poor shape. Second one was much better, had some major tuning problems but after changing the strings, graphite in the nut slots, etc it held a tune a lot better.

Some people have indicated that they can’t get one that holds a tune even after swapping tuners, a new nut, removing the string trees and blocking off the bridge.

I would go usa or MIJ. The MIM Jackson and Charvels I have played were substantially underwhelming. I have not owned one, but I don't think that I would buy one. I have felt no comment on holding tune, but bad fretwork is too common IMO.

Wow really? That sucks! I've had high high hopes as none of all the videos I've watched indicate those issues. Unfortunately I can't try one, since I'm located in Athens and few people own these models.

To be honest I ve been looking for a charvel model 1,2 with maple neck fretboard for a long time with no luck. Some people are asking 600 euros which is insane. My only complaint would be the basswood body...

I just realised that the roasted neck one is not the same as the one I ve wanted to buy! That's the one I am talking about

I have one without the roasted neck. No tuning problems. And plays well :)

Nice to hear that!

for whatever reason, they used in extra string tree on the d and g strings that's causing most of the issues. If you look at the NAMM vids you'll see they are coming out with a revised version to address this

Or you could spend a few hundred more and just get a Chubtone

It would cost me an arm and a leg to have it shipped from the USA to Athens plus taxes

i've got the DK24 2pt in HSS. LOVE it. I love the neck, plays great. nut was a little sticky when I bought it, hit it with nut sauce, seems to be fine.

I'd also look at the Ibanez AZ Premium series. Made in Indonesia but the 4-5 I've tried at the store were solid and stayed in tune. Fit and finish was excellent as well.

I've got one of these too. Pink sounds best -- it's science. No problems with the nut or tuning link some report.

I gutted the gimmicky pots and crappy pickups. It has a Suhr SSH+ in the bridge and 2 Dimarzio Virtual Vintage single coils. It's an incredible sounding guitar.
