I have a timmy V1 and its a great pedal. What is nice about it are the 'cut' EQ knobs and it is more transparent than your average Overdrive pedal. Where the timmy shines is pushing an amp on the verge of breakup into breakup. It also stacks well with other pedals. I love running a Maxon Od-9 setup as a boost into the Timmy. I love the Timmy with my Vox AC50 and Fender Brown Super.
That's the good, now the bad. I don't really like the timmy much with my SF Fender Bandmaster reverb, I prefer my Maxon OD-9 or OD-808. The timmy into a clean amp can be a grainy if you run the gain too high. The timmy doesn't add much compression so its not the best soloing pedal if that is all you are engaging and your amp is not very compressed.
What amp are you wanting to use the Timmy with? I have one and think it's one of the best OD's.... period. It's extremely transparent and pushes the front end of a Marshall exactly the way I like it. I pretty much dime the volume and run the gain about 9:00 for the prefect lead boost.
