Excellent setup.

mesa nomad
fender vibrolux
marshall jcm 800 master lead

have always run a wet dry rig, up till a few years ago one amp being a bit cleaner than the other. The mesa just didnt hold up to my super, the fender was tooooooooooooooo clean, the 800 marshalls have never been a favorite of mine for anything

I play modern metal and classic hard rock/metal.

ENGL Invader 100
Mako Dorado PTP

Same musical tastes here...........I'm assuming you are all Marshall/Splawn now ???

Reason I ask is because I've always been intrigued by the Invader.

JVM/Blackmore these days. The Invader was a total bummer. It had everything I wanted in an amp...except for the right tone!  Overall, the amp is pretty dark sounding and mushy IMO. Ch 3 was really close but not all the way there. IMO, the JVM destroys that amp.

I had 2 Splawn modded Marshall plexi RI's a few years ago when he first started out. They got totally buried in my band. They sounded great by themselves though. I am really looking forward to hearing the QR and especially the Nitro at the amp fest.

I play rock/ hard rock and some fusion.

Biggest dissapointments:

Bogner Ubershall: Not what I expected at all.

Bogner 101A: Was almost there, hated the feel and the tone was too smooth.

Other than that, I've been pretty happy with the amps I've owned. Though the Marshalls took abunch of modding to be happy with them.

I thought you hated the Shiva, Metropolis, Fish, 101B, Duende and all prototypes too? :powpow:

Mesa Mark IV..

  Yeah Right, I'd give a left nut to have that amp back

I guess I forgot about the IIC+. It wasnt really a dissappointment though, only had $450.00 in it, it was more of an experiment. Santana I am not!

The Fuchs was a trade in that made someone else happy :)
