I am wondering if you guys can give me the info on the Timmy pedal, the Tim pedal, and how to contact the guy that builds these? I have a local sale going for a Tim pedal that the guy wants $220.00 for it. Not sure if that is too much? But from what limited stuff I have found, and I am just getting into the' need to know everything I can mode' I seem to favor the timmy pedal over the tim pedal. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I like the Tim over the Timmy, others prefer otherwise. I think the price I paid for mine was ~240 for a Tim when I had one, $220 doesn't seem like a bad price, considering you can probably flip it for that price if you don't like it. The guy who builds it is a guy named Paul Cochrane. I think thats how you spell it, a quick google can get you his contact and you just contact him to get your name on the list. The thing is if you get it from him it's way cheaper than finding it used, people seem to order these and then turn flip it around for a profit. Not sure how much he sells it directly, but I'm sure its significantly cheaper than buying it used.

 I wonder what the differences really are between the two? Tim versus Timmy ? :)

"For the most part right now I sell the pedals direct. The Tim pedal is $169, and the smaller Timmy pedal is $129. That includes shipping. There's also a full weeks trial with a full refund on the pedals. There is a bit of a wait though... When you call I can give you a rought estimate. Because of the wait you don't pay until the pedal is ready - no deposit.
The best way to contact me is by phone. My number is 615-896-8555. My home email is paulcochrane$comcast.net (change the $ to a @) I'd rather not get pm's from forums or messages from myspace. I'm not the most organized guy, and it's hard for me to keep track of things when orders come in from a bunch of different sources.
Phone is best!!!"

It's not that long.
I ordered another a few weeks ago and the ETA is end of August/Early Sept.
If you call him up he'll tell you how long it will be.
He's super nice

+1 It's a 3 month wait. I ordered one back in May.

I just cruised through the tonefactor website. It looks like they do not sell them anymore. So I guess it's call and find out about the wait.

There is a huge worship group over on The Gear Page. Kind of silly people go crazy over the Radio Shack components but to each their own I guess.

Are you suggesting the Tim/Timmy has dirt cheap components?

I have a timmy and really like it. Its alot different than your standard tube screamer. Its pretty transparent, I like it for putting some hair on my amps. It works well as a boost for R2 of my mark IV as well. Its not the end all overdrive for me, but for what it does, it works well. I kind of wish I would have gotten the Tim for the boost options, but the Timmy works fine for me.
