30 minutes of endless harmonic minor and a hint of Phrygian mode and it's all done.

YJM blew his wad years ago. There are so many guitarist playing in their living room that make YJM look like nothing more than mediocre grade B salami meat.

His best material in my opinion was when he was ripping in Alcatraz when Graham Bonnet was at the horn.

im with you.longtime Yngwie fan.tho,i dont like the "commercial" albums he's made.fantastic player and innovator.he created a style,and gets bashed for staying within what he created.sooo dumb.

Yngwie is awesome...but I think he's better when he's in a band as opposed to being the leader. I love the Alcatrazz stuff. Killer. His first solo album was also killer.

Yngwie has no concept of what good tone is. e.g. Robben Ford. As in Mr. Peter Diezel does beyond any shadow of a doubt. Robin Trower is Light Years above and beyond the endless wanking of Yngwie. And RT's technique and overwhelming writing skills and ability out shines and out weighs YJM beyond and discussion what so ever. This is not a competition, it is reality as an artist.

I suggest you go over to TGP and post your trower/ford threads over there. I certainly wouldn't post a YJM video in the middle of a ford or trower thread. Unless, of course, I was trying to be contrarian. Yngwie does sound like a kid who just found Daddy's shotgun and he hasn't stopped firing it since. Yes he can't contain himself on any solo, yes his tone can loosen your fillings, but he's just about the worlds top shredder since 1984 or so. As far as European power metal I can't listen to it unless the singer is really good, good songs, good writing, etc. So I often listen to other bands for that style other than Yngwie. But Yngwie's expertise and command over the guitar really can't be questioned.

First, I always giggle at someone saying someone has bad tone. It's like saying their choice for favorite food is wrong.

Second, plugging into the "real" Marshall would not have made a difference since it still would have been YJM coming through the speakers and, as many have stated in the past, what you hear in that room is way different than what is caught on film.
