To Floyd...... or not to Floyd....

Can't stand them. Biggest pain in the ass ever. If you need giant divebombs, and squeals a Floyd is the way to go, but beyond that...

It's more than that though. After 25 years of playing on them it's really the only bridge profile that I feel comfortable playing on. I'm seriously looking at the Evertune bridges because they seem to have a similar profile.
 
I don't "love me" Floyds.

I "hate me" Floyds.

Got ya. I think you should try to adapt. I know what you mean, I went from a gibson style fixed bridge after playing them for years to a PRS floating trem. It was awkward but after awhile I just got used to it, and its perfectly fine now. I can switch between the two now without much bother.
