Mom Nature seems pissed. Two rounds;: scattered severe storms with 65+ MPH winds starting in about 30 minutes. That moves through and then all hell breaks loose this evening and overnight. Quotes per NWS “significant severe weather threat with heightened concern for discrete suoercellular development” and “highly anomalous kinematic environment”. I’m in the direct path of “the primary corridor of tornado genesis” for potential “long track EF3+ tornadoes”. This is the third time this spring - and this setup looks much worse.

Time to buckle up…

I bitch at Mom Nature. Maybe too much. Maybe it’s retribution and it’s my fault? 🤷
 
I’m banking on the belief that both houses will be OK. Fingers crossed 🤞. We’ve gotten close a couple of times.

A few years back, a tornado touched down about a mile from the house where we live (her house) and headed straight for the “pool house” (my house and home office). It lifted less than half a mile from that residence. They are ~25 miles apart. I’ll see if I can find the tornado track images. Losing one house would suck, but both? Fu…
 
Wow, you've had a wild ride this year. Can't say I'm envious of the extreme weather events. May the Lord protect you, your family, and your homes. Be safe WS6! ☦️
 
Just a lot of rain and wind right now. The fun stuff is supposed to happen 7:00 PM through 2:00 AM. I’m fascinated by storms, but the nocturnal stuff can kiss my ass.
 
Pretty much been up since 1AM but nothing serious thankfully. Some pretty bad flash flooding but it didn't affect me.
Glad to hear everyone is OK so far.
