Did ESP have anything cool? ANy other Metallica related guitars?

ESP had two things at the show
Jack and Shit.
not a single esp there. Im not into LPs so I didnt take any pics of them but there were a decent amount of LPs there

Surprised to see all the floyded Fender guitars. Interesting comment about the floyded guitars, too.  Do people really pay those retarded high prices for those guitars?

I think that's my fault. I have been gasing for a FR fender a little bit so I might have been partial to photographing them.... :) I guess I just want to be a real man..... Dont see too many around the ones I took pictures of are about all of the US made strats that I know of for sale here right now that have floyds. also one store in particular seems to like the FR strats and the white, red, and black one were all from teh same store...

But yeah, when I see the prices every time i think well if that's what I got to lay down Ill just pick up a Suhr.. people do buy them... interesting that the 64 strat was going for about 2,800,000 that guitar was in perfect condition. not a scratch on it. It could have gotten allot more a few years ago.

Off the top of my head, the only OFR equipped US strats were the Fender Classic (which I own) and the Richie Sambora model. I used to own an Iron Maiden strat w/ the OFR back in the day, but that was an MIJ model and made of basswood. It didn't sound like a strat, and those JB Jr/Hot Rails sure didn't help achieve that "quack."

That Anderson looks reasonably priced. Do they let you play them, or are they for display only?

the black one in the pic is a fender classic.

yes all are dealers selling so you can play them. I had the same thought about the Anderson (it was used) seemed good for the price. If anything I would have considered walking out with that more than any other guitar I saw today.

That black Classic is odd considering the ones here in the US were not recessed floyds. I've also never seen one with the slanted pickup. It's MIA?

FWIW, I got mine for like $900 shipped.  I could never imagine paying that kind of coin for a new Fender.

that relic'd red strat with OFR looks like it was influenced by Mr. Brad Gillis sans black h/s

brad gillis came to mind for me as well. something about the matching headstock on strats just doesn't work for me.

I looked around a little more last night and came across at least three master built ones that were recessed. I had thought that only the MIJ ones had recessed but i guess if its a master built then it was made to order by a dealer..
