Tom Anderson Bulldog

I am a huge Tom Anderson fan. I haven't played one but I bet it sounds and plays fantastic (regardless of the bolt on neck or not). The 2 bolt A-Wedgie is an amazing neck joint. I wouldn't put it in the same category as a traditional bolt on. Either way, it is a bolt on. Here are some killer Bulldog TAGs:

I think theirs look amazing and have that more traditional LP look (and reliced). For me, the Bulldog would be my top choice if I wanted something a tad different. If I had to have the traditional LP look I would seriously take a look at Nash.

Dead serious not busting balls. 100s have stated "the LP tone" and "nobody else can create it" but I have never been told the answer to their belief. How can one state something and not know why? Kind of basement player / internetish answer no?

Another thing, if you really think Tom Anderson, Collins, or any other of the small custom shops can't build a better LP than Gibson you are on drugs

Exactly what I am talking about and there is no way they can maintain quality control with that much shit rolling off the assembly line. And dude......you forgot the all import technological revolution in LP's - the Robot

The best LP sounding guitar is the Cobra....doesnt look much like one though.

George i've had a Bulldog and a Cobra at the same time, the Bulldog was a little better, but my Cobra has a Floyd and think the Bulldog had some extra mojo.

my Cobra is a custom order to my specs, so i kept it and sold the Bulldog.


but for sure a big fuck yea for Strat or Tele guys wanting to get an LP or Gibson scale sound, the Cobra is the Shit!

I'd get a Heritage unless you can't deal with the headstock. Handmade in the USA by former Gibson employees for less than current Gibsons.

I LOVE Andersons, but I don't particularly like the Bulldog's looks. Just looks a bit "off" to me?? Still, Anderson's quality is top notch.

Lots of haters out there, but I've really enjoyed all the PRS singlecuts I've played.

EDIT: I'm retarded...I was thinking of the Atom. The Bulldog looks great!

If you dig Andersons and Les Pauls, its an awesome guitar. Feels like an Anderson, sounds like a Paul with a bit more snap and attack.

I know right. But sure, a good LP sounds killer but Gibson puts out plenty of crap. Do the LP's with swimming pool sized chambers sound like LP's? Gibson thinks they do but plenty of people avoid them like the plague.

Personally, I'd need around a week with an LP and a Bulldog to really see the differences.

Cool. I've not tried a Bulldog since I still have my Custom whenever I need the LP fix. Looks alot better than the Atom!

My main Cobra is a 95 hollow hardtail. My other Cobra is a newer 2 bolt with the Fishman piezo bridge and a solid. Way cool guitars. Always sound great.

A Cobra with a Floyd?!? Never would have thought of that.

Are you suggesting a Gibson LP isn't a doctor/lawyer guitar? Go to TGP and ask the doctors and lawyers how many own LPs.

"Real" LP's do nothing for me anymore, and I'd much rather have a Heritage or a PRS; they seem more consistent. The TA looks nice too though.

I am not even talking quality, everyone says nothing sounds like an LP and I want to know which one they are talking about. I have heard great sounding LPs including one you had at some point.

I don't care if the binding is falling off and the top is loaded with orange peel from a lack of good polishing between coats, just one of these guys that make the claim define "The One".

I don't know anyone that pays $4K for a Custom or $40K. You can get new CS LP Customs, R7's and R8's for $3K all day long and USA Traditionals for under $2K. Why spend $3-4K+ for bolt on look-a-likes that sound nothing like a LP when a LP is what you want?

I'm not saying Gibson doesn't make overpriced models because they obviously cater to the corksniffers too.
