Which one and Why?
A Drop Top has a maple top bent to the shape of the forearm cut, a Pro Am does not. Depends if you like a maple top.

They both have a forearm cut. And a belly cut.....
Not sure what you mean. The Drop Top gets its' name from the maple top being bent or Droped to the shape of the body. The Pro Am does not have a Maple top.

You are talking about the Forearm cut? The Drop Top has a maple top laid over the body wood with a Forearm cut. The Pro-Am is a solid body with the Forearm cut. The DT has binding, the Pro-Am doesn't.

Not entirely sure what you are on about. I have both and the are identical with respect to the Forearm cuts.

Steve
To put it another way. The Pro Am does not have a Maple top bent to the shape of the forearm cut, the Drop Top does!

Killer guitar Steve. Looks like ours share some DNA.

Wonder how that happened?

Tom definitely color matched it well. The book matching on this quilt is pretty damn good too. Taking me a bit to get on with the maple fingerboard though as compared to the RW one's.

I ordered this one with a mahogany back, which is different from the others I have as they are all basswood/alder and soft stuff. I replaced the OFR block with a 37mm KTS brass block and claw. These rest against the forward side of the trem cavity where you cannot pull up. But, the amount of difference in sustain and fullness of the guitar is quite noticeable. I have 3 more sets to install in the other Anderson's when I get a chance.

Got to go. Busy dialing in the new Hagen and messing around with it. In short, its a beasty bastard.....4 channels of get the fuck back Jack

Will throw some clips up later if I don't throw a cone out of these Scumbacks !!
