I'm in the middle of tracking guitars for my band, REVERY's, follow up full length record. . .and I just had to share that Tom Anderson guitars are just the freakin' BEST in the recording studio! I rarely ever gig with my Drop Top, but holy shnikes - it really shines in the studio! Here she is. . .some of you will recognize her from past posts.

It's great to own a guitar that totally does it for you. I know the feeling

I do recognize that guitar, and still think it's the nicest Anderson I've EVER seen! Amazing quilting, killer Kahler Spider trem, maple neck. Perfect!

I agree. I wholeheartedly recommend gigging with it.

I agree and love Mike's and Jason's TAGs.

I love the look without the fret board dots.

Glad to hear this. My wife has suggested that I get a "nice" guitar for our anniversary this year (It's a big one). I'm torn at present between a Suhr, a PRS, and an Anderson. At present, I'm leaning towards the Anderson in the form of a Drop Top Classic.

Great looking guitar. I usually don't like flamey or quilty tops and I prefer pickguards on S shaped guitars. I'm also not a big fan of the switcheroo electronics. But even with those things... that's the NICEST looking Anderson I've ever seen (besides mine!). Now put that other strap button on the back!

Yup, they are awesome and worth the price "tag" No pun intended. Here's my current one and some one's I've owned. Wish I still had them all.

Great looking quilt top on the one from the OP. Lots of love for Anderson here. I got my first TA this past summer and am really happy with it. I'm becoming more intrigued by the Bulldog as well. Played a few recently and really loved them.

Here's a pic of my drop top classic:

Not only are his guitars amazing, but Tom himself is a class act all the way and a great guy.

I have an '88 Grand Am Lam that looks essentially identical (minus a string) that I adore, too. I can honestly say they're my favorite of all the guitars I've played

Never played one of the guitars, but much love for the pickups.

Here's my SG-X with an HN3+. I just wish they were available in Gibson pole spacing.

Not really a fan of the aesthetics, but I'm sure they are fine playing and sounding guitars.

I had the opportunity to pick up one of the hollow Strat shape models a while back and did not like it at all. Tone or playability.

I'm sure I would prefer a solid body model much more.
