Top 5 Amps of all time?

Deiezel VH4 (latest revison)
Koch Supernova
Diezel Herbert (MRK I)
Voodoo Custom Mod Peavey 5150 II
Mesa Boogie MRK III (Red Stripe)

Wow, lots of dudes in this thread no longer post here :(

Thanks to the new guy for drumming up old memories though

Have not played all of these but if we just go on history and contributions to amp building and rock tones?

Fender Bassman OG
Marshall JCM 800
Mesa Mark Series
Mesa Dual Rectifier
Peavey 5150

If it is amps I've had significant time with:

Fender Bassman OG 50w AB165 head
Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555 head
Splawn Quick Rod (50w) head
Mesa Rectoverb 50 Series II head
Peavey 5150/6505 variants

For high gain:
1) Rev 1 Uberschall and Rev C Dual Rectifier
3) Wizard Hell Razor KT150
4) Mark IIC+ HRG
5) Hermansson Rev G Dual Rectifier
This answer may change in a week or 2 when some new amps come lol

For non-high gain:
1) ’70’s Dumble ODS (best amp or musical instrument I’ve tried)
2) Alessandro DAZZ (best clean amp I’ve tried) and Ronin J7GT
4) Alessandro Redbone (most organic sounding non-vintage amp I’ve tried)
5) Jim Kelley (best amp for sweet sounding melodic leads)

Order changes depending on the day/mood, but these are the best I've owned out of 60+ over the years:

Naylor SD60
Wizard MCII 100w E34L (or MC25, neck & neck)
SLO30
Mark III+ Blue
GZ Hellion KT66 (only had for a week, but putting in top 5 for now. We'll see after honeymoon phase)

1-Dumble Ultra-Phonix Dual Showman
2-Dumble Purple Haze Marshall JMP
3-Dumble Overdrive Special
4-Dumble La Tostada 59 Bassman Ri
5-Dumble Rock-Phonix Bandmaster
6-Cameron Ocean 75 Super Lead
7-Cameron original CCV
8-Hermansson 5 Gain Stage JMP
9-Marshall 65 JTM-45
10-Vox 62 AC-30

More than 20 years ago I sold a phenomenal sounding Ampeg Reverberocket from 64. Really wish I would've kept that one.

Current favorites, in no order:

Suhr SL68
Diezel VH4
Marshall JCM 800
Mesa Mark IV
Mesa Dual Rectifier Multi-Watt (or Tremoverb)

Since that post in 2015, things have changed a little...

1972 Superlead
2C SRG (made it into a +; but it had an even better tone before)
1982 2204 with a mystery slight gain mod
Naylor SD60
1992 Rev C Dual Recto

If it's a top 10, then I'd add....
2203x with a Cam modern mod
SLO (pre BAD)
Triple F Recto
Wizard MC 100
Nick modded 1969 Frankenmarshall

Still have the 72, the rest are gonzo, but not forgotten....

Top 5 I've owned:

'83 Marshall JCM800 2204
Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier rev G
Bad Cat Cub III 30R
Matamp GT120MV
'93 Marshall 1959slp (also most regretted selling)

For high gain:
1) Rev 1 Uberschall and Rev C Dual Rectifier
3) Wizard Hell Razor KT150
4) Mark IIC+ HRG
5) Hermansson Rev G Dual Rectifier

Did your Hell Razor come in yet? also interesting you'd put the first 5 above Larry Dino

Of Amps I've Owned:
1. Wizard Hell Razor KT150
2. MI Megalith Beta
3. Ground Zero Hellion
4. VHT Ultra Lead
5. Bogner Uber Ultra/Pandora

I'd put my MCII KT150 at 3 if the Hell Razor didnt do everything better for what I need

Of amps I really want, I suspect a Hermansson 5 stage would bump down the MI and the Gower Killer Kali would bump down the Hellion.

Have not owned nor played a Killer Kali, but owned a Rockmonster on a 2203x and it was indeed sick. But so far I like the Hellion more I think.
