Tracii Guns wrote Appetite For Destruction

The other thing that pops out to me is that LA Guns music is not really consistent with what AFD became. So if Tracii did write a lot of the music, Izzy's influence probably slowed a lot of it down and made it groove more. As for the acne story, I can see it but I also question it considering LA guns came out what, a year later? His face doesn't look any worse than any other rocker of that era.

Tracii quit, wasn't fired .. he saw a change in Axl that was dangerous so he bailed ... and his hunch turned out to be right

the OP is completely wrong about Tracii writing AFD..the video is total BS. GnR and LA Guns share pretty much the same DNA as they pretty much grew up together in one way or another so yeah there are probably songs that Tracii was involved in that ended up on AFD given Izzy lived at Tracii's mums house for a while pre GnR
 
Whoever figured out how to turn the horrible screechy songs like this into what they are on Appetite deserves most of the credit!

 
I sincerely hope that this doesn't come off the wrong way as I get some limited entertainment value out of the "Full In Bloom" podcast and interviews posted on YouTube (as I'm sure many of us do). That said, I would like to now say this: I am very close friends with one of the bigger names mentioned directly in this "interview" and I have learned through private conversations over the last few years that a sizable majority of what you hear on Full In Bloom is sensationalized, fabricated nonsense. I have witnessed well known musicians that were prominent figures in this era of music have a good laugh comparing notes about what BS have been told about them on this channel. Tracii Guns did not write AFD, though he was a meaningful contributor to the formation and general musical vibe that ultimately morphed into GNR. And he definitely quit..Not fired. Ironically, a bunch of years later the actual party that bears the major weight in creating GNR's best material came to a similar conclusion as Tracii; A professional, emotional and psychological contingency on Axl Rose compromised their sanity and serenity to such a degree that the juice was no longer worth the squeeze. Regardless of their profession, people with cluster B personality disorders will drain the life right out of you and I believe that Tracii realized this very early on. Just my thoughts,

Ok, so I revisited this one and it actually is not as bad as I remember but also not all that memorable so I think the general consensus stands.

I kind of dig the tune more here if I am honest. Vocals aren't dialed in but the rythms sound great and I dig the vibe more than what ended up on AFD. Tracii's solo sucks though.
