I've been gassing for an Orange cab for a long time, and I finally scratched that itch. My first run with these two cabs together was quite good. I had just been complaining about how I robbed my Bogner of too much mids by changing 2 of the V30s to K100s (thread). Running them together DEFINITELY brought the mids back to the party. Placing it on top literally put those mids in my face. I still plan to try some other speakers in place of the K100s eventually, tho.

While my tone is killer, I have something super picky that I have to complain about. I really don't like how the Orange is a tad wider and deeper than the Bogner. It looks dumb on top. And when you're a 40-hr a week guy whose career is completely unrelated to music, and you're married with children,... well looks matter because sometimes that's all you get to do with your rig. :doh: But... I like how it sounds there. So for now, it stays.

Just for the record, I gave the guy $80 to even out the trade a little.

Got the same cab in black; it's a beast. HNCD!

Not that I was given a choice, but I've struggled with whether or not I should gas for an orange or black one. The orange is so iconic, but man it's ugly. It's especially bad considering my deep-seated dedication to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Our two most traditional rivals have orange as a primary color. Lol. :thumbsdown:

Put a pair of Celestion Heritage H55's in the Orange, and put the V30's back in your Bogner. Then reverse your stack: "wide" Orange 2x12 cab with bass cones on the bottom for your big low end, "narrower" Bogner 4x12" on top for your standard lows, mids and highs.

Problem = Solved. :thumbsup:

I like the way you're thinking. :thumbsup:
