Absolutely. ClassicTone transformers are excellent. If you brought Mercury transformers down to the price level of ClassicTone's transformers, i would still go with ClassicTone.

All Dumble discussion, on any forum, end up as Trainwrecks, though the amps couldn't be more dissimilar. My mind is blown just by thinking that up.

P.S. Cool clip.

Never played a D amp. But thanks for the props.

Yeah one or two people inevitably get butthurt over all the Dumble bandwaggoning and post something like "Dumbles are sooo overrated. A Trainwreck can git all the toans of a Dumble ODS wit only the volume knab on the gitar! It don't need all dem switches."

Aren't the Dumble and Mesa Mark I supposed to be similar?

I bought everything separately. I used Classic Tone iron.

It's a real saggy amp, but is more articulate than an amp (Marshall) with a cathode follower driver tone stack for the most part. You can hear the power supply do a catch up for a split second when you do a quick back off on the guitar volume.

You'll need an attenuator if you plan on playing it at any volume lower than a full rock band! This amp gets it's sound from power clip distortion, not a high gain preamp. My clips would sound better if I could play at full volume and get the speaker moving. But whatever.. It's cool to have something different than the standard uber gain buzz box tone.

classic tone makes great stuff.. I use mostly them. My Classic Squared is a tweaked trainwreck.. Yours sounds excellente...

Thanks. Part of the choice was the price!
