Never used an octave pedal outside of Fractal, wondering if this would work for me. There are a few parts in the set where I would really like to harmonize. 1 guitar band but record as if 2 guitarists. It isn't anything extreme but a couple of harmonies here and there.

Just wondering if an Octave pedal can get me there. Would need to have zero affect on the tone basically, not sure if that exists?

you want up ... down .... or both ?

if you don't mind digital pedals ... I would just get a harmonizer

but if you want simple and analog .... Boss OC-2

if you want all analog with up down and all around ... I suggest a Griffin Analog Octav-Puss

To be honest it doesnt matter if it does 1 or both but if it did only one, I would prefer it to be one down.

I suppose a harmonizer would suit me better. Really just need an octave down that doesnt change the tone. I dont care if its digital or analog.

Boss PS6 seems pretty sweet after looking at harmonizers. Definitely dont want anything fancy with extra sounds, just my same tone with the ability to harmonize or get an octave or 2 lower.
