and thats a good thing.

Listen to what YES did before Trevor and AFTER. Then listen to Trevor's solo stuff.

There can be NO DOUBT he was the one who made this era of the band successful.

You just refueled my YES love. And I thank you for it :D Changes is one of those songs that you listen to and think not only how talented Trevor is, but to have the rest of the band to that caliber as well.

Chris Squier's outfits though, were pretty

I'm a huge fan of him both as a guitarist and as a composer. Very underrated. Yes was a totally different band without him, and not in a good way.

agreed!

I'm an old YES fan and I'm TOTALLY on the other side of the fence on this one. I can't listen to ANY of the stuff Trevor did with YES. To me, he killed the YES I loved. Yes, I agree he is a very talented person, however, I was BIG-TIME into yes prior to Trevor and when he came in the band suddenly went pop. Hell, they even took one of the Trevor era YES songs and remixed it into a disco hit...yuck!

Hey, just my personal opinion and not meant as a dis on others. :D

I saw the 90125 tour at the Forum in Los Angeles, CA.

Amazing show and the whole band was great!

Really?

All a matter of opinion, of course.

But Yes went from the magnificent band that wrote "Fragile", "Close to the Edge" and "The Yes Album" (Bruford, Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, Squire lineup - one of the best ever) to an utterly insipid pop group. One of the tragedies of music in the modern age!

I think Trevor would have been a success whether or not he joined Yes. 90125 is more of a Rabin album than a Yes album and the songs were pretty close to done by the time Anderson joined. They didn't even change keys to fit Anderson's voice, instead Trevor sang some of the lead vocals.

I like the Rabin era music, but I'm more a fan of albums such as Close to the Edge, Relayer, Going for the One. My favorite Rabin era tune is Endless Dream from the Talk album, it's Trevor's attempt to do a longer form prog tune.
