Tried the Morley Wah Lock last night

The Mrs. got it for me for Christmas. Quick summary is I'm returning it. Wasn't for me. I found the regular wah setting fine, but the Whoa setting too much warble low end. Was useless for my application/playing, and the lock feature was okay, kinda a Styper/Boston sound when engaged. I'm not really a wah guy, but there was a point when I was in a AIC type band and used the Tremonti wah all the time. I liked that way more than this one. I've also owned Bad Horsie 1, Bad Horsie 2, Mission Effects wah, and the Dunlop Cantrel.

It seems the more shit that gets added to wah pedals the less I tend to dig ‘em. I had 2 Bad Horsies and a Charlie Stringer shit the bed on me in high school so I just went back to Dunlop and haven’t bothered with anything else. I’ve got the Cantrell wah, a regular GCB95 (I think?) and I want to get my hands on a Petrucci because it’s the rack wah in a wah case. Even the Cantrell wah, the pot on the side is jacked up a bit and gets scratchy adjusted, doing that at 90dB wasn’t the prettiest sound, but I’m sure some contact cleaner would benefit it. Hopefully the Petrucci is issue free!

That's funny everybody has their own taste because I tried the bad horsie 2 contour wah and absolutely hated it. In the end as long as you're happy with what you got that's all that matters.

I used to gig with a Bad Horsey 2 and was noisy AF. I gigged on an Air Force base and probably could have picked up the pilots talking to the tower.
