I want to do the one wire Serial Loop Mod on my Triple Rec. Can anyone post pics of the mod with a description? Thanks!

From what I could gather from the Boogie forums the issue is simply cutting the wire that connects the send pot to the mix pot. On a 3ch TR these wires connect to a circuit board. I got this pic identifying this wire from a post and other than wire color (the 3 grey are red on my TR) my TR is the same:

Can I simply cut and insulate this wire? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would also like to know this. If it's really that easy, then I'll do it to my dual.
:checkthisout:

Bumpin this for good measure before I start tinkerin :D

I wouldn't fire up the soldering iron just yet. I've been looking into this and apparently, simply cutting the wire from the send pot to mix pot still leaves the loop with dry tone bleed-through and volume drop issues...someone from the boogie boards did it and reversed it because it sucked. Why oh why did mr. smith put such a fucked up loop on these amps?
At least he made the 2010's serial.

I did a similar mod to my old Heartbreaker, Maverick, and Trem-O-Verb. Eventually put all of them back, because it didn't work well on any of them.

I don't understand why people dislike those loops so much. They are a little complicated with dual knobs but sure work well with effects pedals that pull on the signal. I use the parallel loop on my Diezel all the time.

One way to fix it is to upgrade to the new 2010 rectos, or to the older two channels. I owned a 3 channel, and now an early 2 channel and am much happier with it.

I would first start by contacting mesa and getting a schematic for your amp. A good number of people here have electronics knowledge and could figure out what to do with a schematic of the loop.

I saw that. Ohers tried it and liked it soooo....beings its so easy I'm gonna do it. Too easy to pull the pot an un-solder 1 wire.
if it works great if not it'll take 5 minutes or less to pull the chassis and re-solder

Will let u know what happens,
