Okay cool. I get that some of what's going on with tariffs can be frustrating because it is a big change and growing pains usually come along with that. Your OP did come off as TDS, but since you haven't really posted in OTC with unhinged TDS rhetoric you get the benefit of the doubt that you were just venting. That's fine, we all need to rant sometimes and I won't brand you as a libtardt. As long as you're not just spouting MSM generic talking points and can have a rational discussion or just here to stir up shit you're okay by me; even if we have a difference of opinion. Just be aware that in OTC name calling and insults are kinda the norm so don't take it personally. You may get called an idiot or whatever by some, but assuming you can discuss topics within reason and without going full on TDS "orange man bad" you'll do fine here and personally I won't have any issues with you. As far as I'm concerned (and generally with most who participate in OTC) as long as you're not being a disingenuous POS troll you'll be fine.

And a comment on the 2nd post of yours I quoted... I fully expect prices on some things to increase with tariffs and whatnot, but it's an inconvenience I'm more than willing to accept in the short term if it means the American economy with thrive in the long run. I look at it as similar to delayed gratification. Sure, you can disregard everything else and get what you want in that instant, but if you postpone that instant hit of gratification and play the long game you'll come out better in the end.

There is zero evidence that Trump's tariffs are going to pay off. Historically, excess tariffs have worked out terribly for us. Right now it's just empty promises and hope. That's not TDS, it's objective criticism. I love the idea of America resuming its dominance in all things manufacturing but Trump's method seems unserious and frankly dangerous.

Dude they already are. And the CBO estimates it could reduce the deficit by 4 Trillion over the next 10 years.

So, objectively, by your argument the current tariffs (the biggest hidden tax hike on American businesses and consumers in the last 100 years) will eventually pay off the additional 3T+ Trump added to the deficit via the BBB? It just doesn't math out for me. But, if you can make it make sense I'm all ears, seriously.

The pauses are in response to President Donald Trump's decision in Julyto sunset the "de minimis" trade agreement, an exemption that for years allowed packages worth less than $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free.

That seems more like a them problem. Frankly, it's a disingenuous argument the way it's being presented (by media, not you personally). It's being presented as either more look at fascist Trump destroying America rhetoric or these countries are taking a stand in protest against Trump. Reality is they suspended shipments because their systems were not equipped to handle the changes and they need time to update them to not get overwhelmed.
