They want the American people to suffer so they can blame it on trump. They think it will help them in the mid terms. They once again fail to learn important lessons.Can someone explain this to me like I'm a child?

It just shows everyone except dumbasses like Dan the butcher and JD Sheepinger that they don’t care about the American people, they only care about power.

Its pretty much all political theatrics. Democrats thought they could shut down the gov't and hold the country hostage in order to force Republicans to give in to their ridiculous demands; extending benefits for illegals and whatnot. They've done their damnedest to push the narrative that Republicans aren't negotiating and assumed public would blame Trump/Republicans for the shutdown. It's all been backfiring on them.Can someone explain this to me like I'm a child?

BTW - I knew the answer to my own question but I thought it might help other's here who have comprehension problems
