The casino bankruptcy was from the 90’s and he recovered. In fact his lenders thought he would be best to liquidate assets when they could have assumed control. But don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying he’s a good person. And I don’t really agree with his politics, while I do appreciate some of his instincts and positions. But that people just dismiss him as somehow defrauding others on his way to the top (Or any more than any other business or political titan) is just ignorant. I agree conservatives are kind of caught up in sexual regulation, at least superficially. But there is also an obvious argument for having boundaries, and I think “progressives” have taken it way too far (at least superficially) in the other direction.

I know little of his affairs I was just noting the propensity for guys to armchair quarterback. I know enough to know that the fastest way to get in big financial trouble is to have big financial resources. Whether he is a great business man or not is irrelevant to me since I don't vote. I have very little in common even with those in that 250k bracket per year let alone a billionaire in a gilded apartment. That's a foreign way of life to me.

But it’s hard to say what he could have done in the real estate business without being given a real estate business.
