HELLO ALL! This is my first post on this website :D Very exciting!

So, I have some questions for you. Do you know much about Pedal Switchers and wiring them up?

I'm looking into the Musicomlab EFX MkIV.

All I want to know is: how the HECK could I control my FX loop with this thing? Is there a way?

This is what I want to do, I'll try and map it out as best as I can.

I want the following pedals in front of the amp(s):

#1: Compressor
#2: Fuzz
#3: Another Fuzz
#4: Overdrive
#5: Boost
#6: Phaser

I want the following pedals in the loop of the amp(s):

#7: Gate
#8: Tremolo
#9: Delay
#10: Reverb

And that's it! Basically, the MAIN point I'm trying to figure out is if I can control the Gate! I don't want to use it on my cleans... Just when I use the fuzz pedals really... Can I accomplish this with the MkIV? If not what are you suggestions for me? I love the idea of pressing a button and a lot of stuff happens =) I hate tap dancing!

Cheers! Thanks in advanced.

I'm pretty sure this is how you do it on the MkIV but I apologize in advance if I'm wrong in any way :)

Guitar into IN A or Buf IN A.

You then have 6 loops that can go in front of your amp.

OUT A goes to the input of your amp.

Your amp fx send goes to IN B.

You then have 4 loops that can go in your amp's fx loop.

OUT B goes to your amp's fx return.

The EFX has function switches that you can use to switch channels on your amp. Just program what loops you want to be activated with the appropriate amp channel.

That makes perfect sense to me! I'll have to do some reading of the ol' manual ;)

Thanks so much for your input! Really appreciated!

I have ONE MORE QUESTION! I found this thing called the SuperSwitcher 2. Any thoughts on that?

What amp are you using? Are you wanting to use a function switch to actually turn on/off the loop? Otherwise, if the loop is kept in the circuit at all times then it will work like NaturalBornBoy stated. The desired pedals can be turned on or off and your amp's channels can be changed simultaneously with the press of one button.

I don't know much about the superswitcher but check out the Boss ES-8. I hate using this term but it really is a game changer.

Thanks for your input glassjaw7! I'll have to check out the BOSS one as well...

I'm using a Morris Custom XSii and eventually I want to use a Marshall JMP 2203 (Friedman modded of course) with it. So I'd need my pedal switcher to be able to let me run in mono or stereo, depending on what I'm feeling like that day! haha

The only pedals I'd run in stereo would be the delay and reverb, by the way.

I wouldn't ever need to turn off the loop entirely! Just some of the pedals in the loop. This is great! =)
