Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted a lot lately, band life/school life been getting in the way of each other too much to have too much time to myself. My apologies. Anyways, I have been trying wrap my head around how some things work. I realize this is probably enough questions for 21039470298375091823 different threads. The first being:

1). Multiple Wireless systems set up to work together. I am purchasing a guitar wireless system (line 6 g90 probably, feel free to give your opinions on that if you wish. I realize g50 is more than I would need, but I like the idea of a rackmount wireless), but expect to also be getting wireless in-ear very soon. How would i set them both up without two different backpacks? I don't mind two rack spaces taken up, but two backpacks would be annoying on my strap, especially since I try to move a lot. Is there some combo pack I can get, how do the pros do it? Without using those $1500 in ears that double as transmitters. How do you guys handle that?

2) Second being stage lighting. I'm in a metalcore band and were starting to get shows with bands we've actually heard of and we aim to impress. Every other band seems to have great light ideas that set them apart from the rest. Currently my band has two par 36 (or 38's, whichever one is real) mounted on PA speaker stands for accent lights in the back facing our banner behind our drummer. We have two mine colorstrips mounted under our risers at the front of the stage pointed at the ground for more accenting options. We just stick with those for now, but are looking for something to bring people in and make us unique. Any ideas? I was thinking setting up a light show in sync with our songs, but lack the skills currently to do it. I don't mind figuring it out though.

3) Pedalboard suggestions? Just a random one, but it needs to be compact-ish but still able to fit a volume pedal and 4-5 boss-sized pedals.

Thanks in advance guys, any answers welcome.

Can't help with your wireless question although seems two transmitters are required.
Get a the pedaltrain board that fits your needs- several sizes to choose from.
As for lights... go LED all the way. Light weight, durable and low heat output.
My band uses four Color Key par cans, 2 Chauvet Mayhem lights and two American DJ Quad Gems on stage.
Everything is set for sound sensitivity so no DMX controller required (plus we're lazy!).
Certainly helps us stand out as more than just another bar band- which is exactly what we are!
Here's a vid that shows off the lights pretty well. BTW- you'll need at least one fog machine too.

I use the X2 wireless system for my guitar and have the bodypack on my strap. I also have in-ear moniters and I keep that bodypack hooked to my back pocket or belt. I run the earphones under my shirt to stay out of the way when I switch guitars and what not. As far as I know, it don't think you can combine the bodypacks. I see a lot of pros with one for guitar and one for monitors, so if there were a way I think they would use it.

As far as pedalboards, build one. I made a few that are just as good as the trailer trash pedalboards, at a fraction of the price. Hell, my other guitarist uses a board with velcro and some kitchen drawer handles.

1. Dunno

2. DMX

3. BOSS BCB-60

Thanks, that bcb-60 looks pretty cool, definitely into the whole power supply and chords supplied.

Thanks for the links to the vid, I really like the lights. Which of the lights you listed were the dual light, moving ones on each side of your stage? I've been interested in moving lights for a while and they seemed pretty cool.

I figure I will end up probably just doing what you do for the in-ear and guitar wireless stuff, but I'm worried about getting the in-ears ripped out as I move a lot on stage, lots of headbanging, jumping, etc... I might just have to get one of those around the ear in-ear pieces or something.

Thanks for the help guys!

Yeah the earphones I got were Westone UM2 i believe. They go behind the ears and under the shirt. Just tighted to the back of your head, have some slack, and bang away.

Sounds great! I'll definitely go check those out. The most bad that happens is they fall out and during a pause I have to put them back in anyways.

I'll check those out too, if I figured out how to program some moving lights it would definitely up our stage show.

We're too lazy to set up and program a DMX box. All our lights are set to change colors/patterns based on sound and we just adjust the sensitivity. Works fine for us.
Here's another one that shows off the floor lighting better.
