I am putting together a pedalboard and am in the final stages of acquiring the pedals I want and materials. Thinking I might want the option to add another amp from time to time. Can I use the tuner out of the ES5 switcher to feed the input of a second amp and skip the ABY box option?

Probably. You could have ground loop and phase issues.

This x 10. Don’t forget the small stuff on your board- we spend thousands of dollars to get a tone/sound only to have some insane noise coming through…. Ground loops are a pain in the arse. Get the correct ABY from the beginning and fix the problem before it’s a problem. Multiple threads here involving good abys.
