Two 1x12 cabs as 4ohm?

Is it possible to somehow make two 1x12 cabs (with 8 ohm speakers) into 4 ohm wiring?

I know it is possible in a 2x12...

just daisy chain from one to the next and go from your 4 ohm output of your amp...if you have two outputs on your amp, go to each cab and set the output to 4 ohms (two 8 ohm loads equals one 4 ohm load)
