Hi guys,
I recently picked up a Warm Audio Tonebeast and realized that I can have both my vocal mic and a line in plugged in at the same time and be able to switch them on the front without unplugging the other, so..... I hooked up my torpedo live through the tonebeast and into my interface as opposed to just two notes to interface like I had been doing for the past 2 years. It made sense to me that If I was micing a cab I would send it through my mic pre, so why not do the same with an emulated mic signal. The mic pre itself is super versatile and has a ton of great sounds and options, so while I haven't done hard a/b comparisons yet the sounds I've been getting have made me not want to spend/waste the time going back to not having it in the signal path.
Is anyone else using external cab sims/kemper/axe doing something similar?
Anyway, I threw together this quick clip with my rec and I think it the best recorded sound I've got from my rec. Signal paths are
Guitar->Lovepedal Eternity clone->isp->rec->two notes->wa tb->interface
bass->dg b7k->mesa impulse 600-> two notes->wa tb->interface
synth is a virus
