How many AA batteries does it need for power?

Not sure if Alcoholic Anonymous makes batteries. I know Reinhold is getting into making 'em though.

Something I found last night that works for me. When using it for clean tones, or specifically for the cabs I have saved for recording clean tones, I like to have the poweramp simulation on even when using the power section from my heads. Using a bassman cab with 6l6 power, or /13 cabs with el84 powersections sounds more natural and sparkly to me, also outputs louder with out clipping the front end like clean channels tend to do vs. overdrive.

Interesting. Thinking if someday getting the CAB version which
dies not have the LOADBOX feature, but works with Tube Preamps etc.

What I wonder is, when you have a nice crunchy or creamy overdrive from your
Amp , and play with 1X10s 1X12s 4X10s etc. does it radically reshape the Tones ?

Yes, just like with real cabs. Even the same 1x12s ,etc. can sound vastly different.
