Just wondering...does anyone know if tubes in rev blue uberschall are pcb mounted or chassis mounted?

don't know why i care but you know i'm really picky about gear :D :D :D :D

As I recall, the sockets themselves were chassis mounted, but they were connected directly to the PCB also, so no flying leads.

ouch...i think this could cause problem if you move the amp a lot...if the pcb get damaged it would be a real pain to get it fixed....other experiences??

Get a Rev 1 or 2 if that's your primary concern.

do rev.1 or 2 have flying leads instead?

BTW i don't know if it would be a wise choise...cause here in europe a NEW one rev. blue costs circa 500€ less than a used rev.1 or 2.................

The real question is, "has anybody had a problem with failures related to the way it's built?" Bogner has very high build standards, like a tank. I've never heard of a problem with the design.

so nobody have ever had issues caused by this type of construction? or heard about it...

That's an Original version in the vid if it helps. :hys:

I've had three - a Rev 2, Rev Blue and now a Twin Jet. I experienced zero issues with any of them. I also have a '99 XTC that hasn't given me a bit of grief other than one non-working button on the footswitch.

If I were you, I would not spend time worrying about it.

have you fixed that switch yet? If not, that sounds like the notorious problem with the LEDS. Just replacing the LED usually fixes it, I guess it's part of the circuit or something. Cheap and easy fix.

I've never heard of any issues at all with any Bogner amps-not counting the Alchemist.
