That's a sect, not an example. Control implies an action. What actions is the Catholic church doing to control people, specifically? There are a billion Catholics, I know many and very few of them strike me as being "controlled" by the church. I attend an Orthodox church between 4 and 6 times a year. Tell me how I am being controlled.
Dude, I'm not going to get into one of your purposefully contrarian arguments that you've made your m.o.
Religion has spawned more wars worldwide than any other reason in the history of man. The Vatican had their own money AND police department. That's about control. Nor did I say every religious person is being controlled. Their choice their beliefs. It's about the organizations themselves. Are there pure and good churches/religions? Of course, but usually on a small scale.

The only thing that could make you 'somewhat' religious is you could be the Holy Trinity.

1) A student of fiction
2) A fiction filing clerk
3) An onseller of fiction.

You're in the bible belt where 99.9% of religious zealots have been, and continue to be, flushed out as thieves and morally bankrupt. Religious fiction is your region's culture and pretty much has been from its inception.

If you were an honest and objective cultural anthropologist with 50yrs of global ground research only then may you possibly understand the reason for the existence of the fiction you promote and onsell.

Hate against those that believe in religion make you no better, sport. Probably worse.

This has nothing to do with my contrarianism. You made a claim. Support it. Spawning wars a thousand years ago isn't evidence of controlling behavior in 2026. The secular govt's are responsible for more deaths by war in the last 120 years than all the previous wars combined. Maybe it's the secular mind that is the controlling group eh? The Vatican is it's own country. Don't they have a right to print their own money and have law enforcement? Show me how they are controlling a billion people though. It's not much of a reality in 2026.

While there are theologically sound churches there are no pure/good churches in terms of the membership. That is a thought that is deeply counter to the actual Christian faith. Churches are made of fallible people like any other organization.

You haven't offered any evidence to back up your claim.

I did support it friend. Timeline has zero to do with it. Again, believe in your faith. I'm not chastising you for it. It doesn't bother me at all.
Moving on. I'll leave this though

Again, you have nothing.
You certainly have NOTHING but there's a TON of evidence on full public display of all the wrong doings religion has done and continues to do.

So, stop side stepping the facts of the bullshit religion (aka: fiction) is.

You can shout it from the mountaintops like every other bitter unbeliever but that doesn't make it true. You still haven't offered a single example which makes me think you really haven't dug that deep into any of them. Show me how judaism is controlling people, that should be an easy one.

Does his belief in religion affect anything to do with you personally?

Does his belief in religion affect anything to do with you personally?
Yes, when he continues to use his posts in this forum as a selling instrument of fiction.

He can believe what he likes...I can also believe what I like or does this affect you personally.

That affects YOU personally? In your everyday life? How so?
For the record I do think it affects him personally though more so out in the world than on this forum. I could probably detail that in several ways. As Hatter said though, he has a habit of overreacting to the point that I suspect he is in a constant state of war within himself as his anger is palpable.

Let me give YOU the heads up...you don't have the right to question or judge what affects me personally just as I don't ask you.

My everyday life is none of your business just like yours is none of mine.

Hypocritical fascism is so strong on this forum by a few.

Someone certainly thinks highly of themselves. You really think anyone here gives that much of a shit about you?

I do get the impression that if he sees a religious figure in public, he goes running away in a screaming rage

Wake up tp yourself you arrogant fool, you can't tell the difference between reality and bullshit.

You see reality/truth that doesn't suit you dressed up as anger when served.

If you believe I'm angry you're even more damaged than I thought.
