Hey guys, having a problem with my effects loop. Trying to run my Decimator pro rack on channel 2 (of the decimator) through the ultralead. Of course, I am trying to use the serial loop, however I have no volume, and the tone is barely audible. I mean, it sounds like the volume is below 0 basically (that just raspy high end sound when playing) If I switch over to the parallel loop, my volume comes back to normal, however of course, the noisegate does not work with the parallel loop, even with the mix knob at 100 percent. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem? Kinda frustrated with it.

On a good note. I finally got to hear my ultralead and herbert in stereo.....It IS the voice of god, absolutely mindblowing. I've never heard 2 amps that sound SO perfect together..The heaviest thing on earth...that is all!!!         :D

Did you try it in series with the loop switch for +4 db?

yes, I pushed in the +DB on my ultrlaead..still no go :/

The VHT loop set to series, level switch to HI and effects return pot maxed out.
Make sure that your OD channel volume is past noon as that acts as the effects send level. You need to get enough level to the ISP's led meters.

Cheers,
Mike

I would plug a patch cable from the amps send to the amps return. In other words, Use the series effects loop with nothing in the loop. If the problem still exists, its the amp. If it doesnt it is the isp.

Hey guys...of course the problem was extremely small, and was the usual suspect.....CABLES!! I'm using planet waves cable station cables, and while they are great, I think I rushed when making a few of them that connected to the ISP channel 2's Outputs. Everything is A-ok! :) thanks for all the quick help you guys rock!

Something is wrong, either the ISP or the amp. Your set up should work. Have you contacted both companies for support?

A problem I had with the planet waves cable station (thankfully only on one cable) was that I didn't push the cable far enough into the back of the connector on one cable, so the pin was not making any connection to the cable. I wonder if the same problem occurred with him since the culprit was the cable.
