I still like the JSX and XXX--both of mine are still going strong and both were cheap.

IMO,James Peters should be a household name. Yeah,we know him....but whenever I mention his name and amps to the unwashed masses,they never even say they have heard of him much less tried one of his amps. Great guy,great amps,loves his cat. What more could you want?

I prefer the JSX to the original XXX but yeah they are great. IIRC the XXX II is a JSX varient, right?

The JSX and XXX look similar, but they really sound nothing alike. The JSX is more refined sounding, and has far less bottom end and gain.

Do you mean the XXX or XXX II? Aren’t the JSX and XXX II very similar?

The XXX II is a JSX, they just had to rebrand it when Satch went back to Marshall. Kind of like why they make a 6505 instead of a 5150 now.

this is absolutely one of the most brutal as fuck solid state amps in the world. wholly underappreciated and mostly unknown. the "xtreme" setting replicates the dino Obsolete tone.

80w/80w stereo power amp too. it's loud as shit. i have one, and while i keep it stored, i will never sell it.
