Who makes THE BEST Univibe clone ? Don't say Dunlop...

My favorite is the Black Cat Vibe pedal. Korg is releasing a clone designed by the original Univibe creator. I think it's called the Nuvibe?

Probably Vibe-Baby :dunno: . I have a KR Musical Mega Vibe on my board though.

Got a Deja 2 from Fulltone that is fantastic, but no longer in production

The best two I still own are the Castledine and the Vibe-Baby. Both are as close as I ever heard to the originals. Others are great, Fulltone, etc.

Korg is releasing the Nu Vibe very soon. The Jap guy who invented the original Univibe designed it. I got one pre-ordered

Im using the old Deja Vibe 2 with the built-in pedal. Tone is close enough for me, and I wouldnt have a univibe if I didnt have the pedal speed control.

I have this one and its awesome!

There's a guy in WA state that sells a populated PCB that is an exact Univibe replica, the company is called Classic Amplification. The board ranges from $230 to $250, he advertises it as being used to fix broken, old, original 'Vibes. Obviously it uses newer components, but it's the same size and layout of an original Univibe...beats the shit out of the dude on ebay that wanted $2200 for a Jax Vibra Chorus (a clone, sister product built by the same company that made the original Univibe and marketed it under several different names). I'm trying to get one of those...and put it in a rack mount chassis box.

Drybell Vibe Machine or the JAM Pedals Retro Vibe.

Check out Gilmourish, he does reviews on many different vibe clones. I haven't tried any but from clips and his reviews the Electric Orange Moon Vibe mk2 is my favorite. $300 so probably not what you'd want for an occasional effect but if you have much use or doing Floyd or Hendrix tunes then imo there's nothing better. The guy from Gilmourish says it's his favorite but at a tie with another vibe clone. He seems to really dislike the dunlop and fulltone, saying they're basically phasers with fancy marketing.

After going through many, the best "small footprint" vibe that I found was the Jetter Gear Vibe...a true optical in an MXR sized enclosure

I guess I should say that I don't care about size at all, if I could find a real Univibe for a reasonable amount of money I would buy it...I had a chance in the late 80s early 90s to buy one and like an idiot I didn't, it would have been like 100 bucks too. Now who knows what they sell for...I saw one on ebay with a 2225 STARTING bid ! WTF ??? I DID, however, snag a real, original Tychobrae Pedal Flanger for 100 bucks. SCORE !

Fulltone mini deja vibe, I've had for a while and really like it! Sounds more subtle and 'vintage' than most.

I have a retroman ubervibe and its been great, but its the only vibe pedal I have ever owned. My main issue with vibe pedals for me is that they cost alot and I don't use mine very often. Its one of my top 5 pedals in cost and bottom 5 pedals in terms of use. I use it enough not to sell it, but wish I found more ways/places to use it.

Do most people use the chorus or vibe switch setting? I have mine set on chorus most of the time....

Outside of covering Jimi or Trower I don't see where it would get much use otherwise.

Well it can also give you some nice Pink Floyd sounds ;) But it's true that when I think about it I don't use mine that often...

Joe Holmes has one on the new Farmikos stuff, and I've ALWAYS loved Jimi, Trower, and Gilmour. I just like that sound a lot...that dripping, kind of low fi swirling. Most newer phase or flange pedals aren't as "organic" as a Univibe...
