I have not been to the fantasy camps, but I did attend several National Guitar Summer Workshops, the G4 Experience and Paul Gilbert camps. It’s a great way to focus exclusively on your playing for a few days, away from work and the family. It also gets you into the mindset to practice if you’ve allowed life to chip away at the time you dedicate. .

Those do look like fun. @dstroud has posted videos of him jamming with Steve Vai at a similar sort of thing. Very inspirational to see that.

Yeah - Darren deserves to go to something like that. And no way I'm paying $4500 either, only to be super intimidated and feeling like I'm wasting their time

I could buy a Mississippi vacation shack for that kind of money. I'd go but only just to piss of George Lynch by asking dozens of dumb questions about Don Dokken and then getting the QR dudes mad by injecting "ANOTHER EMPIRE EMPIRE!!!" at inappropriate times.
