Hello again... so I just picked up a really nice S500. I already got the upgrade bug and wanna try some different pickups and hardware. I used to upgrade and change out parts on my '86 Fujigen made Fender Strat all the time and figured the G&L is basically a souped up Fender, but I realized this guitar really is different animal (for the better). I just don't wanna screw anything up, so I was hoping I could get some tips or advice on what to use and what won't work. For pickups, I wanna go with a BKP Cobra Blades set. My only concern here is the pickups will jive with the S500 switching and push/pull pot system. As for the bridge, I wanna go with either a Wilkinson setup with Schaller tuners or like a Super Vee Blade Runner then I wanna block the thing so it acts as a hard tail. One thing I noticed though, the Dual Fulcrum rests on these felt washers and doesn't actually sit flush on the body. Would an aftermarket bridge work on this thing? Please help!
