Both of these guitars are about the same on the used market. Which would you choose and why?

Owned a wolfgang for 5 years and played it until it needed a refret. No comparison the wolfgang is a better guitar but the ergonomics of wolfies are more akin to les pauls and not super strats. I hated the upper fret access of my wolfgang and also hated the pickup switch location since i would always hit it when tapping. It was also a pain to switch quickly back to the bridge pickup after a solo or clean piece since you have to reach for it - causing you to possibly miss time with the band.

MIM strats tone wise dont compare to the wolfgang, but ergonomics of a strat have wolfgang's beat pretty well. Quality wise once again no comparison - wolfgang.

You need to play one and decide whether you like the neck profile. That is real reason they are winners in my book. Great guitars if you stem from a les paul style family and not a super strat or regular strat.

I decided to step up to the plate and buy a USA fender select. I'd say it is every bit as much of a guitar as my wolfgang was and then some

Wolfgang by a mile
Made in USA
Sweet neck
Better pickups to me
Superior floyd

Well, the Wolfgang I was looking at was sold before I could make it to the store. I played the fender mim Floyd Rose Strat and a couple other guitars. Ended up coming home with a Jackson Adrian Smith model. By far the best Floyd rose equipped guitar at the store. And that includes some much more expensive guitars.

That sucks, you wouldnt be saying that had the wolfgang still been there...
