I am trying to help my church to find a decent tube combo amp. Wattage can be from 15 to 50 watts. Amp will mainly be used for leads. Effects loop is nice, but the plan is to run the amp clean and use pedals for dirt. 12inch speaker preferred.

Here are ones I though of, in order. Looking for other suggestions and which one to seek out.

1. Peavey classic 30 or delta blues
2. Egnator tweaked 15
3. Crate vc30
4. Fender blues junior
5. Laney lc15

I think the budget pretty much eliminates anything from vox, Mesa, orange. Carvin maight be a good option, but I don't know much about their amps.

The classic 30 is a solid work horse amp. I had to pick some gear for my church as well but I went with a roland cube 80x. It sounds great and has no maintenance plus the line out can run straight into the board. Just another option unless you are set on a tube amp.

A Marshall 4203 would do the job nicely. Hard to go wrong with the Classic 30 though or Delta Blues though...I've heard them sound great in the right hands.

This doesn't fit your criteria exactly, but don't rule out the Marshall Class 5. I use one at my church and it sounds killer with pedals. Its only 5 watts, but I mic it, so having enough volume isn't really a concern. It can get quite loud though. I bought mine for $250 used in mint condition.

I have a Peavey Classic 50 2x12 which I got for under $300 a while back that sounds great. Versatile enough for praise/worship stuff!

I got a class 5 combo in trade recently. It is loud for 5 watts. I may sell soon. I just dont need it. No fx loop and 10" speaker though.

My old Crate VC30 was loud as heck. Pretty good too, same tube complement as my Marshall DSL401.

Or blues and plexi crunch with the right boost. these amps are gold at 300.
