People are always talking doom and gloom but I want to look at the positive......

If Cancer can be cured or a cure for Lou Gehrigs Disease could be found amongst other diseases more investment should be made in such research IMO.

If there is a chance to save thousands if not millions of lives using this new tech as it's already figured out protein folding and could do it faster than anyone or anything before........ Why not?

It is possible IMO...... If these issues were placed at a higher priority..... There may be a cure for many of these diseases in the next 10 years if not sooner in 3-5 years.

The US is ahead of every other country when it comes to AI and if anyone can do it IMO it's America/USA.

This is how they are going to sell it to get everyone hooked on using it.
I don't buy it.
In a sense there is that...... Sort of like Braniac in Justice..... It's a good read where the Super Villains "turn a new leaf" so to speak but really don't. Braniac convinces everyone he can make a Utopia..... Cures blindnesss, the crippled, cancer etc etc etc.... makes mega cities where no one is poor.... But in the end it's for his self serving interest to control everyone.

But at the same time I don't know, if the tools are there to help some and cure some of these diseases that can help real people it makes sense if it's a positive thing and will affect real peoples lives in a positive way IMO.

But again as said..... And the danger..... Braniac in Justice.

As of yesterday Russia unveils first test batches of cancer vaccine

The personalized, AI-assisted shot aims to train the immune system to attack tumors

Russian scientists have produced the first three test batches of a newly developed cancer vaccine at the Gamaleya Institute in Moscow, the center’s director, Alexander Gintsburg, has said. The breakthrough drug is an AI-assisted, mRNA-based vaccine designed to target malignant tumors using the patient’s own genetic data.

Reports on the readiness of the vaccine first emerged in September. Preclinical studies showed the drug could shrink tumors and slow their growth by 60-80%, depending on patient characteristics. The vaccine was initially expected to be used in patients with colorectal cancer.

“Most importantly, our leading oncology center – the Herzen Institute, headed by academician [Andrey] Kaprin – has obtained the full set of approvals needed to use the technology, from diagnostics and mRNA production to administering it to patients,” Gintsburg said. The vaccine batches remain experimental even though they have passed all quality checks, he stressed on Wednesday.

Unlike conventional vaccines that prevent infection and severe illness, mRNA cancer vaccines are not designed to stop disease transmission. Traditional vaccines are given to healthy people, while oncology vaccines are a new class of therapies used to treat advanced-stage cancer. They are described as “vaccines” because they act on the immune system, training it to recognize and destroy tumor cells.

The new vaccine is a personalized treatment built to target malignant tumors using the patient’s own genetic information. Developed with the help of artificial intelligence, the mRNA platform allows each dose to be tailored to an individual’s cancer profile, potentially offering a more precise and effective therapy.

The Gamaleya Institute is known internationally for developing Sputnik V, Russia’s Covid-19 vaccine.

Earlier, Russia began trials of a drug based on a genetically modified oncolytic smallpox virus for the treatment of brain cancer, a process expected to take around two years.

Last month, the Health Ministry also authorized the use of two cancer vaccines: NeoOncoVak, a therapeutic mRNA-based vaccine for melanoma, and Oncopept, a peptide vaccine for malignant tumors. Both are made individually for patients using genetic analysis of the tumor and other biomaterials, and have narrowly targeted therapeutic indications.

I think this is still in clinical trials though but pretty amazing stuff.

Competition especially amongst rivaling countries just makes the process faster.

There's been cures for cancers for decades to the point we could have turned it into nothing more than being akin to a light cold. Medicine is a business and there's no money in cures and prevention. But put someone on treatment pills and you have a customer for life. I got a first hand glimpse of this when I was in school and It's one of the reasons I stayed away from the pharma industry as a career.

This is what my Dad says..... Maybe there be some wisdom in that without a doubt.

Very few wish to modify their behavior.
This is the Final Boss™ to overcome when trying to help peeps via diet.

Maybe I cared "too much" but oh man, decades of casting pearls to swine cost me not just in time and effort but in health too.

So yeah, I'm over it now but at least I can honestly say to myself that I persisted with many peeps when others would've thrown in the towel only a fraction of the way down-the-line.

Unfortunately no amount of self-justification cures the guilt I feel that I "failed" and had to watch peeps die.

It all came down to that Final Boss™.

User name fits.

I'm waiting for the 100 mpg carburetor to be finally found. Oh, and the tunnel at the north pole to the underground cities where the 'others' live.

Nah, he skipped my house and served you up a double helping.

Aside from Cancer which so many have brought up.....

And for good cause IMO at heart.....

Fom Cancer and other diseases like Lou Gehrigs Disease and other such diseases mentioned.....

If these diseases could be cured or helped in anyway ImO..... That would be a good thing....And if the USA/America is at the forefront of finding cures to these diseases or better treatments...... Then I'm all for that.

Because if it ain't the US/America doing it someone else will and IMO better us than them.....

Especially if the US/America does it first and leads at the forefront.

That's the type of thinking.....

Especially being on the verge of new cures and medicines......

IMO not only hinders but ignores what can be possible.....

And with AI and CRISPR tech....... Really anything is possible in the 21st Century and America and the US stands to be at the forefront......

Better us than them.

Does your rampant stupidity come naturally or do you have to work at it?
