Recent convert to acrylic picks, and enjoy the products from both companies.

To those who've settled on acrylic picks (not interested in other brands/types of picks) - which do you prefer, and why? Which models do you like best?

Thanks!

I used v picks screamers for the better part of 5 years, and I really liked them but they tend to wear down pretty fast. I got used to the worn pick but whenever I'd start on a new pick it would feel really odd and unwieldy, so I decided to start trying some new picks again, amongst them dragonheart and gravity. I picked up a few of the gravity stealth big mini 3mm as they seemed to be the most comparable to what i was using, and really like them, and after maybe 3-4 months have seen little to no wear on the one that I've been using. The dude from gravity is really cool too, and it seems he makes a habit out of giving out a free pick when you order too. I ordered 3 or 4 of the stealths and he threw in a 4mm big mini sunrise as well which is a cool pick.

Thank you - responses like that are why this forum is a badass resource

I tried some of the V-pick Dimension's. Nice and comfortable.

I play the Gravity picks now. 4mm and 6mm thickness in the Edge and Stealth. I like the polished and master finish. Try the wave pattern or the elliptical hole -- it really keeps the pick from spinning between my fingers. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but I can't go back to the thin picks anymore.

V Picks Snake with an unbuffed edge is my go to...I really don't like a lot of their other picks and don't know why. Something about that one just works.

Gravity is badass, I love the Sunrises in 4mm and the Classic Big Mini in 4mm too. I always get the master finishes from Gravity, I like how they dig in. The ones without master finishes chirp too much, from both companies.

Got a ton of my chosen ones from both companies and don't really switch off for anything other than a Fender pick for the twice a month I might play some blues. Just really dig the thicker acrylics for metal riffs, seems to add some chunk.

I love the Sunrise and the Stealth. I mainly use 1.5 and 2mm picks. I agree with Steinmetzify, they tend to chip a lot without the master finishes.

I recently bought a bunch of V Picks. So far I like them to, but the ones I bought are a bit to small for my liking.

I've never tried the V-Picks but I'm a Gravity convert and been using them for quite a while now. The tone is amazing but what sold me on these is how they grip, its kinda crazy actually cause you would think they would be slippery since they are so smooth. Great customer service as well.

I like V-Picks Large Round and even their Orb.
I tend to like picks that glide off the string easy. Those do it for me

I much prefer Gravity over V-Picks. I've tried one V-Pick, I don't remember which model it was, but I set it down after 5 mins because the chirp was out of control for my picking style. For whatever reason even the Gravity pick in the non-master finish doesn't chirp any where near as extensive as the V-Pick. I have a couple of the Razer 1.5m models. They play very smoothly against the string. The only negative for me is that is it's a bit dull, but no more than any other pick of equal thickness. I'd like to try a Razer or a Classic Pointed that's a little thinner for a bit more bite.

I heard that the more sought after Gravity pick models, are now available at some of the Sam Ash stores.
